Shared Donation Fund
Small and regular donations accumulate in a shared fund and create new scholarship places.
The Piggy Bank Scholarship is a solidarity model in which small contributions from many donors are pooled into a shared fund and provided to higher education students as non-repayable scholarship support.
Applications are submitted through bursverenler.org and remain valid for one year from the application date. A new scholarship place is opened when sufficient funds have accumulated in the Piggy Bank fund.

Applications are accepted online only through bursverenler.org.
The applicant remains under consideration for Piggy Bank Scholarship places that may become available during the one-year validity period.
The Piggy Bank Scholarship is a higher education scholarship created by combining contributions of different amounts from individual donors in a single fund.
When the fund reaches the threshold required for a scholarship, a new place is created for one of the valid applicants. For this reason, the programme does not have a fixed collective results announcement date.
Applications are reviewed by considering criteria such as financial need, academic status, the social circumstances of the student and family, volunteering and development goals.
The Piggy Bank fund consists of contributions of various amounts directed by donors to this scholarship programme. Other eligible income allocated to the programme may also be transferred to the fund in accordance with applicable legislation and Foundation decisions.
A new scholarship place is opened when the fund reaches a level sufficient to cover the current scholarship amount and payment period. As the scholarship amount, payment period and funding threshold may change over time, current details are announced for each period.
Funding thresholds and monthly scholarship amounts used in previous years do not create an entitlement or payment commitment for future periods.
Applications sent by email, post or delivered by hand do not replace a Piggy Bank Scholarship application. The application must be completed through bursverenler.org.

Applications are reviewed according to programme criteria through the bursverenler.org assessment system and by the Yücel Cultural Foundation Scholarship Committee. Missing, unverifiable or false information may result in exclusion from assessment.
The identified donor who made the highest contribution during the relevant funding period may, if they wish, be invited to select a recipient from a limited number of applicants who have completed basic eligibility and document checks.
If the donor does not exercise this option, the Foundation allocates the scholarship to an eligible applicant based on assessment results and priority need.
Only limited information necessary for selection and matching is provided to the donor in accordance with relevant privacy notices and required permissions.
The scholarship begins after sufficient funds have accumulated in the Piggy Bank fund, the recipient has been selected and the required document checks have been completed.
The monthly scholarship amount, payment period and start date are determined according to the conditions of the relevant funding period. The recipient is separately informed of the payment schedule and obligations.
An application being eligible or verified does not mean the scholarship will begin before sufficient funds are available and recipient selection has been completed.
A Piggy Bank Scholarship application remains valid for one year from the application date. Current valid applications are considered for scholarship places opened during this period.
Applicants must keep their contact, education, income and document information up to date in their bursverenler.org accounts. A new application is required once the one-year period ends.
Every donation to the Piggy Bank Scholarship accumulates in the shared fund and becomes a new scholarship place for a higher education student once sufficient funds are reached.
