Who Can Become a Scholar?
Primary, secondary and higher education students living or studying in 11 earthquake-affected provinces (Adana-Adıyaman-Diyarbakır-Elazığ-Gaziantep-Hatay-Kahramanmaraş-Kilis-Malatya-Osmaniye-Şanlıurfa) can apply.
The scholarship amount is 1.000.-TL for primary, secondary and higher education students.
When and How to Apply?
Opened on 01.03.2023, our scholarship program will accept applications until 30.09.2023.
In order to apply, first of all, please complete the membership process on the bursverenler.org website.
Then click on the "Seeking Scholarship" button on the main page, select the appropriate option from the "Primary School Scholarships", "Middle School Scholarships", "Under Graduate Degree Scholarships", "Graduate Degree Scholarships" and "Doctoral Degree Scholarships" options, click on the "Next" button and fill out the application form in detail.
Upload the necessary documents from the Documents section. Please watch the Help Videos at the beginning of each section while filling out the form.
After filling out the form, click on the "Next" button and select the "Earthquake Educational Support Scholarship" option on the "Scholarship Selection" screen. Then click on the "Continue" button and complete your application free of charge on the "Payment" screen.
You do not need to send us any documents, just upload them to the system. As Yücel Cultural Foundation, we trust the statements of our young people and make our evaluations based on the documents you upload electronically to the Documents section of the application form.
We know the importance of your time, money and effort and we ask for some documents for control and follow-up purposes after the scholarship is finalized.
How Are the Applications Evaluated?
Applications are evaluated according to the criteria determined by the Yücel Cultural Foundation's Board of Directors. In addition, the score status of the selected scholars and the compliance of their documents with the application forms are examined by the Scholarship Committee. Incomplete documents, those who share misleading information, those whose profile picture is not uploaded will not be evaluated. Even if a donor is found, the scholarship of those who provide misleading information will be cut off.
When Are the Scholarship Results Announced?
There is no specific announcement date. You can see the results in the "Click Here for Scholarship Application Results" section of www.bursverenler.org. With each earthquake donation to our Foundation, one student will be awarded a scholarship. If there is no donor, the scholarship process will not start. Until September 30, 2023, you are a candidate for scholarship.
Remember, "Your form has been verified" only means that you are a candidate for a scholarship. Due to the nature of the scholarship, the foundation or you must have a donor who supports you.
Who Are the Donors?
It can be anyone who believes in the importance of education for young people.
How Do I Know If I Qualify for the Scholarship?
When your status is changed to "You were qualified to get the scholarship", the system will automatically send an e-mail to the scholar and the foundation. You will also be notified to the e-mail address you specified in the form.
I Qualified for the Scholarship, What Should I Do Now?
After you print out our Scholarship Regulation, which you can access here, you need to sign each page and send the signed version by e-mail. (The e-mail address you need to send will be shared with you after you are awarded the scholarship).
