For those who want not only to watch a theatre performance, but to reflect on it and experience it together.
🎭 Play: Günaydın
🎬 Genre: Drama
⏱ Duration: One act / 60 minutes
As Yücel Cultural Foundation, we value bringing young people together with high-quality theatre productions; we aim for the stories told on stage to become encounters that are not only watched, but also reflected upon and experienced together.
Within this scope, we are bringing our participants together with the play “Günaydın” through the Culture Hunters project.
This one-act, 60-minute play focuses on the relationship between a mother and daughter who have no one but each other, and whose lives are largely confined within the boundaries of their home and routines. Surrounded by boxes, memories, and the increasing weight of life’s conditions, their bond is reshaped around love, the need for approval, pressure, resentment, and the search for communication.
While the daughter tries to carve out space for herself within the harsh realities of life, the mother’s unstable behavior, controlling attitude, and inability to express her love openly push their relationship to a fragile point. With an atmosphere that is at times suffocating but often deeply engaging, the play brings the emotional ups and downs of these two women to the stage.
“Günaydın” offers a theatre experience that invites reflection on family communication, caregiving relationships, shifting roles, and the invisible burdens of living together, carrying strong emotional layers despite its simple structure.
Special participation fee for Culture Hunters: 5 TL
The remaining cost of the event is covered by Yücel Cultural Foundation.
Tickets can be obtained through different platforms for 600 TL (500 TL for students). Culture Hunters members can purchase their tickets directly via yucelkulturvakfi.org.
The Culture Hunters project by Yücel Cultural Foundation aims to make cultural and artistic events more accessible to young people, encourage them to reflect on what they watch, and share these experiences together.
Culture Hunters is not only an audience community; it is a meeting space where young people who want to build a stronger connection with theatre, music, exhibitions, and various art forms come together. Within this scope, events offer participants both access to high-quality productions and the opportunity to expand their artistic experience together.
“Günaydın” is one of the productions we present within the scope of Culture Hunters, inviting its audience to reflect on family relationships, emotional thresholds, and the limits of communication.
We invite everyone who wants to take a closer look at human relationships through theatre and encounter a powerful text and performance.
