As Yücel Cultural Foundation, we value bringing stories on stage together with audiences not only through performance, but also through emotion, courage, and imagination. With this perspective, we are inviting audiences to an inspiring theatre experience at Yücel Arts Center.
“Benim de Sesim Var” centers on the story of Atlas, who loves music but hesitates to step onto the stage. His biggest dream is to play the ukulele and sing his own song, yet he must confront both discouraging words from his surroundings and his own fears.
A neighborhood song contest creates an important opportunity for Atlas. However, to take part, he must both write his own song and repair his broken ukulele. In this process, he discovers the transformative power of friendship, solidarity, and courage.
With the support of Aslı, Atlas learns to face his fears and realizes that real change becomes possible when he dares to try. The play presents not only a child’s journey to the stage, but also the process of finding one’s own voice, believing in oneself, and pursuing dreams.
Inviting its audience to reflect on hope, solidarity, and courage, the play highlights the unifying power of music and the importance of supportive relationships through a warm narrative.
